Windows Phone Store Facing Problems With App Downloads; Needs Treatment

Did you try downloading an app or upgrading one, and failed on a windows smartphone today? It's okay! there's nothing wrong with your phone, it's the windows store that is facing problems. It shows an error on attempt of downloading an app and asks the user to retry in case of an update attempt. But the retrial won't work. Each time you retry, it will ask you to try again. So, it's better to wait till Microsoft deals with the problem. The problem arises due to some issue with the digital certificates that are used to sign  apps.

The problem is only with a minority of apps, especially those which have been published in last few days. Additionally, the problem is only with those phones which have upgraded to Windows Phone 7.5 from an earlier version. All the previous versions are expected to work normally. Also, all the phones that came pre-installed with the 7.5 version are not affected by the problem. WhatsApp, New York Times are some of the casualties of the incident. For the time being, Microsoft has withheld publishing of any new app and is working to get over with the problem.
