I had a chance to stumble on commerce India and found that India's major import accounts for petroleum and it costs more than 150billion .India majorly import from UAE , China ,Switzerland , etc.
India mainly exports petroleum products, gems and jewelery which give a India a income of 56bn and 47bn respectively to UAE and USA.

Do you think that it was the apt time to convert from petroleum to electric vehicles?
When will India's Export become more than Import?

And not to forget India imports more gold from UAE and spends more on it.
Is it good to spend more money on gold?

The day Indian Energy generated by fossil fuel is equal to the energy generated By the Renewable resources Then I am sure India will become Self sufficient in terms of energy

Many will have different opinions Our tech has really developed But the number of outlets they have been applied is lesser

This is more into the current rate of development adopted by the governing bodies. At present, some states already claim to be self sufficient in energy production while some have to borrow. In India, these issues are the subjects of politics and not development. You see in Gujrat, they have developed a lot in this sector because their government wanted to do so. India can become self-sufficient whenever they want. The problem is that the government should be willing to do necessary procedures rather wait for election promises.

Comparing the trade in figures, this is linked to a number of other factors and not just development.
