A new app on iPhone and iPad called "Vhoto" lets you capture some of the best shots hidden inside the videos in your phone or tablet's gallery. With Vhoto app, you can record videos or import the existing ones from your camera. Vhoto's Chooser feature looks at hundreds of still photos hidden inside your videos and finds you the best pics. You are free to save these photos right away. Vhoto is designed to be the "Smarter Camera" – By this we mean that it learns what you like as you use it. Users can tap the screen while recording video to tell Vhoto to focus on that part of the shot. Turn the camera and Vhoto knows you’re interested in a new set of images. The developers of the app claim that the more you use Vhoto, the better photos you’ll find!

Among other features of the Vhoto app, there's facility to edit photos using different filters and editing options along with the usual saving, sending and sharing options. Another new feature is the Vhoto's new social network that lets you find and follow hashtag topics featuring photos shared by other Vhoto users. Just like Twitter, users can make their own hashtags, or follow the ones that you find interesting and what's trending near you.

In the Vhoto app's latest version 1.6.5, users have been given the Enhanced Search for Users and Hashtags in Vhoto Community, Continuous Recording for iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, and iPhone 5s, Streamlined Edit and Save and Improved Loading Speeds.

Its very cool that it reads our taste from our usage and it is quite interesting about the app itself. I like this app so much because I believe that best shots lie in the videos. But the sad part is that it is not for Android users?
Why developers are more concentrating on ios app making?
Is it because of the fact that it is giving them more money?

    WOW! Awesome app,

I am photography lover. I always used to think that there are time, when we missed to take / store snaps for few moments that are awesomely captured in videos.

Looks like with VHOTO is doing exactly what I had imagined; A snap from the video.
Just wishing that any android developer will see that and come up with similar app for Android.

Meanwhile, if any of you had got a chance to use VHOTO, how is the quality of the snap taken out of the video?
