Various fields For Computer Science Engineers

Computer Science is one of the branch of engineering but it too also has various other fields in it,

As per my knowledge the following fields are present:
1.Programming field
2.Database field
3.Networking field
4.Security field

Can any one just suggest me any more fields,and can anyone please elaborate the above fields and their various scopes.😒

Computer science can be *any* field you could think of these days...

Just about everything uses computers or microcontrollers. New automobiles can have 80 microcontrollers and 3 local area networks. The medical field might mathematically model certain body parts and do preliminary drug trials on a computer. Even circuit breaker panels (mains) are incorporating microcontrollers for a back-up generator connection and will automatically shed circuits so as to not overload the generator!

Aircraft, trains, trucks/GPS/Security, washing machines, air conditioning, power inversion to 3 phase for more efficient running of electric motors, solar water heating system control, and on and on and on...

you are correct buddy but my question is this supposing that am in medial field , but it will matter much that how i am in medical field, i can be in medical field by developing some softwares,also i can be there by managing a database for the hospital records etc etc, so i can develop a software ,can also maintain database,can manage their security systems also can manage there networks and linkups with their other departments,but i can't do everything.

So i want to know what to do and how to do,
i hope you got my point of view

hello dear
as you mentioned above that computer science also has some of its specific areas so you dont have to bother about other aspects.you just have to concentrate on the specific area you have interest in.
Like if u have interest in programming then you should concentrate on programming itself,and same goes with data base,networking etc. so think about your interest and work accourdingly

@Special : There's nothing to worry about. You will figure out your area of interest in computers [It could be just anything!] as you explore and study computer engineering. When developing a large, complicated software; multiple specialists work on different modules [for example, databases can be managed by DB experts, security aspects will be managed by security specialists and so on]. All these modules are then integrated to build a bigger system.

All you should concentrate on is the logic, algorithm and software architecture. It would help if you could start working on a small project of your own and then try evolving it into something better [ Hospital Management System could be a great way to start , say what? 😀 ]

i just wanted to know that suppose that i am intersted in networking then i should do ccna, if i am interested in database then i should go for dba or something like that, in the same way i want you elaborate other fields and aspests of computer science engineering and its various other sub branches

There are many fields that come under world of computers
1:cyber world

a:-web designing :-if you have good creativity then you can go for web designing ,here you will learn designing various graphics ,flash,HTML5,css3 ,all that you see on front end when you open any web page
b:-web development:-it deals with your coding skills ,here you can learn php,asp.net ,.there are other also such as perl,python.

2 Programming:-

a:-It includes development of various software ,here you can learn any language java,c++ etc ,all you need to know how to program?

3 Database

a:-It includes designing,maintaining databases ,here you can go for DBA course ,oracle,mysql .It is very much in demand,since it has become a headache for IT industries to maintain their database

4:-Network Security

it is field of my interest,it includes everything networking,programming,database etc
Here you can go for ethical hacking course or if you are good in programming then you can develop your own IDS,IPS etc

5:-Networking

It deals with routers ,hubs,switches etc

here you can go for ccna course

PS-As for me all the fields in computer science are interlinked ,you should have knowledge of everything but expert in one thing and that one thing will give you an extra edge over other

Thanks a lot , can you further help me on experting on a particular field?

As far my knowledge is concerned security ,networking and database are the most demanding fields these days. And about specific interest i am interested in all the fields except programming and security.

Sometimes i am very keen about operating systems

How can i help you?just choose one field and work hard .AS Big_K recommended,start working on any project ,it will make your concepts more and more clear

If you are not interested in programming then no problem, you can conduct a research on any field for eg take any open source software.
All it requires your dedication bro.We can provide you path rest depends on you whether you want to walk or not.

PS😲ne more field to add ie operating systems,

Here you can go for learning linux ,MCSE if interested in Windows(here cean mahesh can help you)

sir , i have entered in my 3rd year of my college. my pointer till 2nd year is 6.10. n im not a technical brainy. i do not like programming ,so being a female in which field i should enter n how ? finding interest in graphics designing.

I love programming a lot.. but i'm bit poor at imagination n creativity skills.. I'm proficient in C, C++ and good at JAVA.. I'm in 2nd year of om engineering.. So Sir is better if I go for networking? For that what all should I learn ?
