VAIO Launches Its First Smartphone, The VAIO Phone
The VAIO Phone has got unassuming looks thanks to its glossy panels. This Android Lollipop smartphone sports a 5-inch IPS panel display with 720p HD resolution. Underneath the hood, we find an unspecified 1.2GHz quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM with 16GB of internal memory. The microSD card slot can gobble up cards of up to 64GB. The primary camera of the VAIO Phone is an impressive 13MP one with LED flash and on the front we get an above average 5MP sensor. The VAIO Phone is equipped with all the usual connectivity options like Wi-Fi, microUSB and Bluetooth. NFC is sadly missing from that list. The VAIO Phone that measures approximately 71.3 Ã 141.5 Ã 7.95mm weighs 130g and is powered by a non user-removable 2500mAh battery. On a single charge the VAIO Phone offers 800 minutes of talk time and 500 hours of standby.
The folks over at #-Link-Snipped-# believe that the VAIO Phone is a rebranded Panasonic Eluga U2 smartphone owing to its looks and specifications. The unlocked price of $420 is quite steep too considering the mid-range specs of the smartphone. If you agree or disagree with our opinion feel free to leave your views in comment section.
