Use UV Light To Reuse This New Adhesive

Japan’s National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology has come to the rescue to all those people who have second thoughts after sticking up two things together with glue. The new adhesive is basically an organic material that has the same adhesive strength as that of a double sided tape. First to set the adhesive you all you have to do is to apply this orange coloured non sticky liquid and expose it to natural light to harden it. It takes about 2 minutes to harden and using a green light is said to hasten the process. Once the adhesive hardens it turns yellow.

To reverse the above process all you have to do is shine a UV light with a wavelength between 365-385nm and within 3 minutes the adhesive returns to its liquid form. The product is still in development and researchers are working on improving its strength and changing its colour to something other than yellow and orange to make it more appealing to customers.
