The three Gorges Dam is world's largest hydro-electric dam being built at Sandouping, China–Yangtze River. It's also going to be the single largest source of electric power. I invite all Civil CEans to discuss this mammoth construction mega-project and also provide some interesting insights to civil engineering enthusiasts like me 😀
What I hear is, the life span of the dam is only 70 years. Can someone begin the discussion with why the life spam of this dam is so short?
