The advantage the constant-volume combustion type turbine engine
I heard that people ever tried the constant-volume combustion type gas turbine engines many years ago and gave up later. I think the reason is that the engine was heavy and structure and motion was complicated comparatively,as well as the efficiency was not high, the cycle frequancy was not high at that time.
But the constant-volume combustion type still has the great advantages: easy to ignite and easy to get the higher gas pressure. These advantages are very good, so far we still use a kind of similar type engine, the internal combustion engine with gasoline(Otto cycle).
So how to realize it appropriately always is a attractive theme.
My idea is utilize its advantage and avoid its weakness as possible as we can.
of course if you adopt the closed combustion type, we can get the constant-volume combustion easily. However if we can get mixture gas with fuel before combustion,even though the space is not closed completely, because it can finish combustion very quick, we also can get the constant-volume combustion. By this character I simplify the motion of turbine engine than before.It is rotation.
