Technovision 7.0 - SRKNEC, Nagpur January 22 to 24, 2011

Crack your knuckles and get ready to rack your brains, as Technovision 7.0, the Annual Technical Festival presented by the IEEE SRKNEC student Branch (Shri Ramdeobaba KamlaNehru Engineering College) is all set to challenge you with a bagful of mind-boggling technical events!
Technovision 7.0 is a 3-day long festival and will be held from January 22, 2011 to January 24, 2011. Following are the events you can participate in :

1. PIRATES OF WEB
“Pirates of web” is a web searching competition which tests the Internet skills of the participants.
It is the ultimate web hunting ground- a battle between the SEARCHER & the SEARCHED, a game, between you & the modern communication tool, the Internet.
Rack your brains, find a clue, decipher complex codes & click your way to the answer!
So if you think you are a true web freak, get ready to be challenged- along links unknown hitherto...
-Entry fee Rs. 60/-
-Prizes worth Rs. 3500

2. ORAYAN - PAPER PRESENTATION
-Abstract Submission: Rs 50 per team.
-Final presentation : Rs 150 per team ( Only for teams selected for the final round)
-Maximum 2 members per group
-Abstract Submission Deadline : January 10, 2011.
- First Prize : Rs. 1000

3. LINE O BOT
The competition platform has been designed with a black line on a white surface. The contestants have to build a line follower robot that traverses the path in the least possible time
Track may contain the following elements:
-Straight stretches
-Circular stretches
-Radial turns
-S-shaped bends
All students with a valid identity card of their respective educational institutes are eligible to participate. Inter-collegiate teams are allowed.
-Registration Fee: Rs 300 per group of 3 members.
-Prizes worth Rs 12000.

4. VENGEANCE - DESTROY: SURVIVE: WIN
Build a wired / wireless controlled robot that is capable to destroy opponent's robot or push the robot out of the given arena.
The competition would be held on knock out basis
-Registration Fee : RS 350/- per team
-Prizes Worth RS 16,000/-
-Team Strength : Max 4 members per team
5. CODE BATTLE - OVERNIGHT C CODING
In this event, basically the programming skills of the participants are tested. The event consists of three different levels having different complexity.
Entry fee- Rs 150/-
Prizes worth Rs. 15000/-

6. MASSACRE - LAN GAMING
[1] CS "Counter Strike" 1.6-Team Event(5 on 5)
Entry Fee: Rs 100 per team
[2] NFS "Need For Speed" Underground
Entry fee: Rs 20 per head
Prizes worth Rs.5000/-

7. CONSTRUCT - MODEL MAKING
Problem statement will be given on spot at the time of competition
Materials (Popsicle sticks & glue only ) will be provided by the organizers.
Entry Fee - Rs.120
Maximum members in one team - 4
1st Prize - 1500
2nd Prize - 1000
3rd Prize - 800
8. WEB SYMPOSIUM - OVERNIGHT WEB DESIGNING
Web symposium is an over night website designing event.
It involves the structure of the website including the information architecture, the layout or the pages (wire-frames or page schematics are created to show consistent placement of items and the conceptual design with branding.
ENTRY FEE: Rs. 100 per team.
Maximum members in one team - 2
PRIZES WORTH Rs 5000/-
