Tascam DR-07 MkII Audio Recorder Features

The new recorder improves on the company's best selling recorder with adjustable microphones, clearer sound and great new design. The recorder's adjustable cardioid microphones can be adjusted from XY position to AB position for wider ambient sound, depending upon the nature of recording environment. A separate power supply enables the device to make full use of A/D & D/A conversion. A low impedance circuit design enables reduction in noise while recording.

DR-07 can record audio directly to microSD or microSDHC media. Thus, you can record hours of audio depending upon the storage media. The recorder supports WAV or MP3 format @ 96kHz/24-bit resolution. The inbuilt battery allows recording for about 17 hours. One of the new features in DR-07 which wasn't present in the earlier version ( DR-05 ) is the 'Overdub Mode' which allows recording over the track while preserving the original. There's also an introduction of hands-off operation mode.
