Suggestion: Introduce license information in Download sections

Mods - please move it to appropriate forum

I have few suggestions.

1. Introduce license information field with each document. It's very important whether file is public domain, creative commons etc.

2. Some field to indicate whether uploader is original author or not. If uploader is original author, then it will be really good cos if someone has some doubts they can ask author directly. If not, possible/available author info.

I stumbled upon this resource: #-Link-Snipped-#

I downloaded the resource and visited original site. Now I am not able to find link where it was hosted originally. I want to know whether this is PDF is in public domain or not.


What do you guys say?

    1. Can be mentioned in the description itself. Not many people bother to check the license information and we tend to remove stuff not meant for public sharing. It's impossible to go through everything that's uploaded.

    2. The idea here is that any resource can be discussed with anyone.

    Then don't allow that document to be public. This is same as piracy.
