There are two types of Load:
1. Live Load
2. Dead Load -

-Live loads are defined as the weight of nonstructural members, such as furniture, occupants, inventory, and snow. Live loads can also result in settlement of the structure.
-Dead load is defined as the structural weight due to beams, columns, floors, roofs, and other fixed members. The dead load does not include nonstructural items. -

the loading can be of the following types:
concentrated loading,
uniformly distributed loading,
uniformly varying load,
rolling/moving loads,
combination of the above loads. -

What is rolling/moving loads???

when we take a bridge for instance the dead load can be a train of fixed length and is in the form of udl. this we call "rolling load". when we design a railway bridge we take these into consideration. 😀

How could I draw a load and moment diagram if it is a parabolic distributed load???
