Suppose you have landed in Tokyo. The major mode of transport in Japan is trains.
So, once you are at a railway station, you will have to use some basic Japanese.

Here is how you can do that:

-> ,Read as "Eki" (where e is pronounced as 'a')
This is the symbol (kanji) for Railway Station.

    "Chikaatetsu" means a Subway Station.

    "Denshya" means a train.

"Jyoushyaken" or "Kippu" means a Ticket.

Platform can be called "Puratto Houmu"

Now let's see some simple sentences:

    Where is the train station?
-> Eki wa doko desu ka

    Where is the subway station?
-> Chikaatetsu wa doko desu ka

Where am I supposed to get off for Hiroshima?
-> Hiroshima ni iku ni wa dono eki de orireba ii desu ka

Does this train stop at Tokyo?
-> Kono denshya wa Tokyo ni tomarimasu ka

What time is the last train?
-> Shuuden wa nan ji desu ka

    Did you find this useful?
Do let me know and feel free to ask any kind of questions.
I'll try my best to answer.
