Sony Patent Claims Reveal Interactive Television, Advertising And Gaming Concepts
New ideas by Sony for its devices were revealed by the patent documents that have been made public by the United States Patent and Trademark Office recently. Various ideas have been put up in these documents and illustrated with diagrams. The following points describe the innovations that Sony plans to introduce in the near future.
The basic idea states that broadcast network and online entertainment content providers could be directly linked with television and personal computer, while PlayStation and Ads are delivered by an interactive commercial server. This service will make sure that selected ads will appear based on the users’ interests.

Product promotion is being planned with the help of interactive games using the PlayStation move controller. The controller can also be used to end commercials. For example, whenever the burger commercial comes on the screen you have to use the controller to move a pickle on to the picture of the burger to end the commercial.

If you do not want to go through the physical task, another idea suggests that whenever the commercial interrupts your television program you have to simply say the name of the brand or any specific message to dismiss the advertisement.
