Sony Adds New Cameras To Its Cyber-shot Line-up

Sony India has #-Link-Snipped-#the addition of six new cameras to its Cyber-Shot series of compact digital cameras. Four cameras has been introduced in the Super High Zoom Series. The High Zoom H Series includes the H90, HX10V, HX20V and HX200V. The Compact Hi-Zoom series or the Series W list has been added with two new cameras named WX150 and W690.

The Series H cameras include the HX200V with 30x optical zoom and a 18.2 megapixel Exmor R CMOS Sensor. This camera will be a delight for those who prefer shooting photos from a longer distance. It is priced at Rs. 27,990 and will be available only in Black colour starting from May 2012. The DSC-HX20V and HX10V has the same 18.2 megapixel sensor but with varying optical zooms at 20x and 16x respectively. The HX20V will be available from May 2012 at a price point of Rs. 22,990 in Black and Brown colours. The HX10V is priced at Rs. 17,990 and is already available all over India in three different colours of Black, Red and Silver. The DSC-H90 features a 16x optical zoom with a 16.1 megapixel CCD Sensor. It is available for Rs.13,990 in Black and Silver colours.

The DSC-WX150 and W690 are high performance compact cameras with 10x optical zoom and 18.2 & 16.1 megapixel sensors respectively. Both of them will be available around the end of first quarter and has been priced reasonably at Rs. 10,990 for DSC-W690 and Rs. 14,990 for the WX150. Both cameras features some superior performance features like Advanced Aspherical (AA) lens and Optical SteadyShot.
