Seagate's 2TB Ultra-Thin HDD, Priced Rs. 8399, Launched In India
Seagate, one of the global leaders in digital storage solutions has announced its latest ultra-high storage capacity mobile hard drive in India. Officially called the 'Seagate Backup Plus Ultra Slim', the 2TB HDD will retail on Amazon for #-Link-Snipped-# while the 1TB capacity HDD will be priced at #-Link-Snipped-#. The official press release we received from Seagate mentions that the Backup Plus Ultra Slim will include about 200GB of online storage, courtesy of Microsoft OneDrive for a period of two years from the time you sign up. If you purchase the OneDrive plans directly from Microsoft, the 50GB 'Basic' plan will cost you about Rs. 3K for a period of 2 years. Inclusion of the cloud storage definitely makes the price of the Seagate HDD lucrative.
Seagate's HDD is just 4mm short of a centimeter and the company claims that it's about 50% thinner than its rivals. All it means is that the HDD can surely fit in your pocket or in your laptop bag without needing much space. Seagate says that with the 2TB of space available for your digital content, you can store about half a million songs, about 3,20,000 photos or 240 hours of HD video - just more than enough for your intercontinental flights.
