Samsung's Tizen 3.0 OS powered Samsung Z4 to launch soon in India

South Korean electronics major Samsung, expanding its Tizen ecosystem has announced a new smartphone called the Samsung Z4. The Samsung Z4 will run the in-house Tizen 3.0 OS that is light weight and aims to combine performance and essential features while ensuring a simplified user experience perfect for the first-time smartphone users. The Tizen 3.0 will present an intuitive user interface with enhanced usability, implementing quick access to frequently used functions and convenient features like the Quick Talk, Quick Torch, Quick Switch etc.

The Samsung Z4 measures 132.9 x 69.2 x 10.3mm, weighs 143g and is an all plastic built with a textured back. There is the bright 4.5-inch WVGA (480 x 800 pixels) display with 2.5D curved glass on the top for protection resulting in better aesthetics and enhanced viewing experience against the all black bezel.

The Samsung Z4 is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM but there is no mention about the size of inbuilt storage space it has and also there is no further information whether the phone will ship with a microSD card slot or not.

Coming to the photography department, the Samsung Z4 smartphone features a 5-megapixel rear camera with F2.2 aperture and dual-LED flash and another 5-megapixel front snapper with an F2.2 aperture at the front accompanied by LED flash, for selfies. As per Samsung, both the cameras are optimized for social media usage and packs feature focused on convenience and simplicity.

Connectivity options offered on the Samsung Z4 include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/Glonass and USB 2.0. The Samsung Z4 will run the in-house Tizen 3.0 operating system backed by a 2050mAh battery with features like the battery Notifications and Power Planner for efficient battery management.

The handset will be made available in Black, Gold, and Silver color options and will go on sale first in India and then expand to other markets later.
