Samsung Corby II GT-S3850 Tech Spec Overview

Samsung has finally unveiled the second generation Corby, called 'Samsung Corby II" at the SEA Forum in Singapore. The Corby II GT-S3850 banks on the success that the entire Corby series enjoyed.

Corby II will be just as colorful as the earlier model and will be launched in Germany this month. The phone will also be launched in Asia, Europe, China and India over the next few weeks. One of the new features Corby II sports is the T9 Quick Type, which makes typing on touchscreen phones a very pleasing experience.

Samsung Corby II Tech Specs

3.14" Touch Screen with TouchWiz, Quad Band (so that it works on any GSM network anywhere in the world), Social Hub (found in most recent Samsung smartphones), 2MP camera (could have been better), standard 3.5mm stereo jack, MicroSD support up to 16 GB, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and a cool 1000 mAh battery. The battery should give you a good backup life of about 4 days on regular usage.

What's Missing: 3G! The world's 3G and Corby should have included 3G capabilities. We expect Samsung to launch Samsung Corby 3G soon, with a slight price increase.

The official price of the Corby is not known yet, but it would be priced around Rs. 10k in India. If you have questions, feedback and reviews of this phone, do share them with us.
