Civil engineering is the mother of all engineering say some. I’d say civil engineering is the other name for innovation. One sees innovations coming up in all new constructions around us. Each and every building rising around us have a unique feature in them and are each a marvel. Nowadays<em> spectacular</em> is the bench mark for any new construction.

Rotating Tower Dubai
The civil engineers have come up with a new concept of providing a fourth dimension called time apart from the existing three dimensions. The building has the prefabricated parts, attached to a single vertical shaft, rotating at a particular rate. Each floor rotates independently at a same rate but has a phase difference. So the building appears to be having a changing shape. This building is said to be the “Rotating Towerâ€. It is coming up in Dubai.
CONSTRUCTION DETAILS :
As mentioned bef#-Link-Snipped-#ore each floor is not connected like in the case of the conventional buildings. Each floor is separate and even in that each floor has some nearly 40 pre-fabricated modules. These modules will have kitchen, bathroom, fixtures, bed rooms, etc.
90% of the building is built in the factory which will cause lesser instances of accidents to occur. It will also reduce the construction time to less than a year. The major part of this year will be utilized only for the construction of the core. This core is built in the conventional method using the concrete or steel. It will also house the power, water lines.
Plans are to have Wind power and solar power to cater the energy need. This structure is under construction and is yet to be the first dynamic structure.
