Romo - The Smartphone (iPhone) Powered Robot

Meet Romo - the iPhone powered robot that you can build for just $150, provided you own an iPhone already. But looking at the capabilities it 'can' have, a similar robot could take anywhere between $10k-$50k to build. The team behind Romo, Romotive, says that users can download a free app from the iOS store and the app will turn the screen of your iPhone into Romo's face. Romo can follow your face and react to your actions. If you rub Romo's face - it will sneeze. Also, you can log Romo in from any iOS device in the world connected to the Internet, which means it's a telepresence robot. You can control it from any location in the world.
