There is a small difference b/w the slopes of hypotenuse of the red(3/8) and green(2/5) triangle, so that the hypotenuse (of the bigger traingle(which is actually a quadrilateral)) is concave in first figure and convex in second resulting for the difference.

i was able to get upto 2012...!! 😛 but not 2006..! 😛 trying and trying..!

finally got 2006 man...! #-Link-Snipped-# you're awesome man..! so i give u my result..! i.e
we have 8,7,6.5,4,3 right..! so 6!*3=2160
we are left with 8,7,5,4...! so i am using 8,5,4...! so (5!/4)-8=(120/4)-8=22
so we have oly 7 left..! so 22*7=154
and we have 2160 and 154 here so 2160-154=2006...! phew it took my whole brain out...!
so the complete result is..!! (6!*3)-(((5!/4)-8)*7)=2006 i hope im right..!

P.s : I used the help of my calculator and of course my brain..! 😀 Thank u again #-Link-Snipped-# fr such a wonderful puzzle..!

wake up GUYS!!!
here's a simple puzzle to start your brain engines.

A, B, and C, were all over at D's house when a package was delivered. Each child guessed what was in the box, but only one of them was right. Using their guesses as clues, can you figure out what was in the box?
A said, "It's a laptop computer."
B said, "I'll bet it's a pizza."
C said, "I think a picture or a laptop computer is in the box."
and "It's a picture, for sure," said D.

Puzzle The Cryptic Word

Each pair of letters below (a pair consists of two letters placed vertically in line, for e.g. A and V) consists of one letter contained in a 13-lettered word and one “other” letter.

A B C D E F G H I J L S Y
V W Q M K U N P O R X T Z

When the letters in the word are put in the proper order and each corresponding “other” letter is put beneath each letter that forms the word, the “other” letters will appear in alphabetical order.

The word has the same number of letters common with each of the following words:
FACE, QUEST, QUICK, SWITCH and WORLD.

Note that the letter Q can be present only when U is also present with it.
Find the 13-lettered word.

An electric wire runs for 1 km b/w some no: of poles. If one pole is removed the distance b/w each pole increases by 1 2/6 (mixed fraction). How many poles were there initially?

I got a solution by guessing answer and coming back. Answer is 4 poles in beginning and 3 poles after removing 1. for 1 km wire. if we have 4 poles, each side will be 1000/4 = 250 meters. if we remove 1 pole, each side will be 1000/3 = 333.333 meters, that is exactly 1+2/6 of 250.

Steps..... x/n-1 = x/n * 8/6 -- (1) [Where x is the length,n is no of poles and 8/6 is data(1+2/3)].
eq(1)* 1/x => 1/n-1 = 1/n * 8/6
=> 6n = 8n-8
=>2n = 8
=> n=4. That means total no of poles 4.
