Among the features coming bundled with this update, we have 'Maps' application added to the home screen. The Photo application will let you take video recording using both the front and back cameras. And if you rate the products on PlayStation Store, there will be option of publishing it to your Facebook account. Another feature lets you find players’ information easily. It will be displayed on the Discoveries screen. On this screen, a list of the online IDs of up to 100 players that you have encountered, and the number of times that you encountered each player, are displayed. You will be able to tap an online ID to display that player’s profile screen.
Now, Mac users can download Content Manager Assistant for PlayStation. (Check it out #-Link-Snipped-#.) The Windows version of the assistant has also been updated.

You can update the firmware on your PS Vita using any one of these steps.

1. Go to 'Settings' menu, select 'System Update'  and download the firmware directly to your PS Vita over Wi-Fi.
2. Connect your PS Vita to a PS3 or a PC/Mac and update via Content Manager.
