Precise positioning of components

I am working on a project on design & manufacture of a capacitance displacement sensor. The objective is to measure in a range of 100 microns. I am having trouble in arranging the capacitor plates with a separation distance of 100 microns parallel to each other. I would like to have some suggestions on how to place the plates parallel to each other and maintain 100 microns between them at the same time.

Not enough info. Are the plates fixed at 100 micrometers gap? Or are they meant to move to create a variation in capacitance to work as a displacement sensor by measuring the change in capacitance?
