Porsche Panamera 2014 Price In India, Specs And More - There Is No Substitute?
Porsche India - the premium sports car brand from Volkswagen, famous for the tagline 'There is no Substitute', has launched the second generation of its four-seater sports car Panamera at Rs 1.19 crore to 1.23 crore (ex-showroom New Delhi) in India. Available in five differnt models- the Panamera Turbo, the Panamer GTS, Panamera and Panamera 4 with a V6 petrol, and the Panamera diesel, the company has launched this sedan with a bang.
The Panamera Turbo offers a massive 512.8bhp of power and attains a top speed of around 305kmph. Despite being a powerful sports car, the vehicle claimed 9.8kmpl of fuel efficiency. The diesel model is powered by a 3.0-litre V6 turbo-diesel engine that churns out maximum power output of 250bhp and 550Nm of top torque. It has a top speed of 244kmph and has a fuel economy of 15.9kmpl. The other two petrol engines are - a 3.6-litre V6 petrol that develops 310bhp and 400Nm of torque, and a naturally aspirated 4.8-litre V8 that produces 440bhp and 520Nm of torque. The all new Porsche Panamera also features subtle re-designs in the rear section of the car with an all-new tail lamp cluster, and a redesigned rear bumper that makes the car look more planted. The small and subtle modifications carry over to the side profile with redefined side-vents that accentuate the Panamera’s aggressive appeal.
The new Porsche Panamera gets the newly formulated Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) gearbox with virtual intermediate gears, steering box mounts, tweaked suspensions, new 18-inch alloys and Porsche Stability Management. The other changes included in the vehicle are tighter creases, widened rear windscreen, wider spoiler and optional LED headlights that feature Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus. Another host of features are - standard equipment, including electric sun roof, Porsche Communication Management plus Navigation, BOSE sound system, Park Assist with reverse camera and Air Suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) - the latter, which is present in all models except in the entry-level V6 petrol variant.
