Planning to give GRE

This is Abhi.
I am from Computers & IT background and doing job in IBM from last 1.5 yrs. I am interested in furthur studies.
Need ur help in knowing like if i am having work experience of 1.5 or 2 yrs from a software company then what all benefits should i get..if i am giving GRE...
