PCI Express PCIe 4.0 Offers 16 GT/s Gigatransfers Per Second. Cool!

The PCI Common Interest Group aka PCI-CIG has announced next version of PCI interface - an Industry Standard interface that's been ruling for several years now. Although the new interface won't make it to your electronic devices until 2015; there's certainly a reason for everyone to be happy about it. The PCIe 4.0 will offer 16 GT/s aka gigatransfers per second. In pure technical terms, this is just twice the speed offered by PCIe 3.0. The size of PCIe 4.0 is same as that of the PCIe 3.0.
