OS 10 is BlackBerry's Answer To iOS, Android, Bada & Windows
Owing to a tough contest from Samsung and Nokia, BlackBerry manufacturer Research In Motion(RIM) has developed a calculated plan for the Indian market, where it plans to make an impression over 160 cities, and also launch new devices with Operation System 10 at the earliest. Presently, 80 cities in India have access to RIM, and the company plans to make good use of the growing demand for smartphones here.#-Link-Snipped-#
RIM India Head Sunil Dutt said that their aim was to beef up their existing presence, and make an impression at every city hungry for smartphones. He turned down every question regarding investment details. Operating in India since 2004, RIM has presently over 4000 retail stores nationwide. The following comprise its national distributors - Redington India, Brightpoint India and Ingram Inc.
Speaking up regarding the latest operating system by RIM, Dutt stated that OS 10 is RIM's answer to other OS software biggies like Windows Phone, Android, iOS and Samsung's Bada. This operating system shall be made available in later half of 2012. As for a manufacturing base in India, Dutt said that it all depended on the demand for the phone, and that they are considering this idea. He is also optimistic about the app store, and hopes that the brand lives up to customer satisfaction.
