Nvidia recently launched in its long and respected line of graphics cards the new SLI facilities availing GeForce GTX 780, which boasts 35% higher performance level than last year’s GTX 680 and 30-35% higher performance than AMD Radeon HD 7970. Along with this card, Nvidia even released updates to its GeForce Experience (GFE) utility, offering users access to a realistic gaming feel, prepping them up for next-gen high-end games.
The GTX 780 is based on GK110 GPU (the same as in Nvidia GeForce GTX Titan card), which offers 2,304 CUDA cores, 3GB of 384-bit memory and GPU Boost 2.0 (an automatic raise in the GPU’s clock frequency to better its performance). Similar to GTX Titan, the GTX 780 shall be dynamically clocked depending on the GPU’s temperature and not on the GPU’s voltage. And since GPU Boost 2.0 shall be governing the card’s cooling fan, GTX 780 shall be lot more quiet than its competing peers.
The GeForce experience is at present available on GeForce.com and can be used with the latest GeForce graphics cards, but Nvidia shall be bettering the feel for the new card holders, making the gaming experience all the more optimal for the user offering best poise between on-screen quality settings and game performance. Users may manually change their gaming preferences, but GeForce Experience utility lets you play your games at optimal setting straight away. It’s the first time ever that Nvidia is making GeForce Experience (GFE) software a part of its driver package. And for a price tag reading $649, this card promises all Titan-like quality performance in cheap. So if you’re even planning to shell out money over the Titan, fatten up your piggy bank by considering this alternative.
