Nokia Asha 305 Dual SIM Touch Phone And Asha 311 Smartphone Arrive In India

These two new members of the Nokia Asha family were officially launched in India recently. The Nokia Asha 305 is a dual SIM touch screen phone. Its resistive 3 inch LCD touch screen has a resolution of 400*240 pixels. It supports only 2G SIMs and has the latest Nokia OS which has been developed using Java and Series 40 web apps. Its 1110mAh battery has been claimed to provide 14 hours of talk time and 528 hours of standby mode. The phone has a 2MP camera and it can record videos of 176*144 pixels at 10fps. The internal memory is 10 MB but it supports microSD cards of up to 32GB. Its dimensions are 110*53.8*12 mm and it weighs 98 grams and is available in black and red colors. It is priced at Rs. 5029.

Coming to the Nokia Asha 311 smart phone, we see a 1GHz processor and a display of the same size and resolution as the Asha 305 but it is capacitive in nature and is protected by a scratch resistant Corning Gorilla glass. It has a higher internal memory of 140MB and can expand up to 32GB by microSD cards. The camera has a 3.2MP camera without flash and it can shoot videos of 640*480 pixels at 25 fps. This phone has connectivity options like 3G, Wi-Fi and is powered by the same 1110mAh battery. This phone measures 106*52*12 mm and weighs 95 grams. The phone is available in 5 colors and costs Rs. 7,139.

Both of these devices come preloaded with 40 EA games and implement the latest swipe user interface by Nokia to provide intuitive touch experience. The phones were introduced to the world in June and are available across India now, but there is no word on when another phone in this series called as Nokia Asha 306 will make its way to India
