Browsing the web for comparison charts before buying any product has become a norm. When it comes to a big-buy like a car, customers turn tech-savvy and use Online Vehicle Configurator to customize the models with colors and features for their favorite cars. Once satisfied with the choice, they walk-in to a showroom and see the cars with their eyes before making the purchase. But, what happens if they don't have the model you dreamed about on the way to the showroom, in their display? To avoid the heartbreak, Nissan has come up with an innovative way to sell their cars using Microsoft's Kinect for Windows technology.

Kinect's NUI or Natural User Interface (NUI) is the technology being used by Nissan to enable customers to use the virtual 2013 Pathfinder. Now, a Nissan dealer will have a Kinect for Windows-based kiosk, a computer, a TV, plus all the necessary hardware-software. Using gesture-based interaction, a shopper can explore the SUV to his heart's content. As a customer, you can inspect the wheels, hop-in the interiors virtually to see the legroom or the entertainment system for yourself and experience what it will be like to drive the car.

This program initiated by Nissan runs from August 20 through the end of November 2012. Check out a video now -
