Need help preparing project report for setting up a gaming cafe

There's a friend of mine who is opening up a gaming cafe in Chiplun(MH). The thing is, someone else is investing full amount for the project and thus my friend needs to submit a project report/ business plan to the investor. And that friend of mine has put this job upon me.

I have never made one earlier and have only a rough idea about it. I would be grateful if someone here on CE could help/guide me with this project report. Just plain guidelines will do as to what the format should be and what are the points that need to be included.

The gaming cafe is worth total(including pcs,interiors and other misc items) around 12-13 lakhs INR with the computers costing around INR 7,20,000(60,000 x 12).

    * disclaimer : I don quite remember what my Project management Prof taught me. but giving a short nevertheless 😁
    Ok, here it is!

    first calculate the payback periods, this is important as it will give an estimation of how long the original investment is recouped.
    later, you need to actually break down the whole expenses and time frames - this is sometimes called as work break down module. This will help you and him estimate what takes up how long time,efforts and investment for each smaller module.

    well, durga dont you think you went too technical for me😛

    anyways thanks for the help. reading your post over again i understood what you meant.

    I do not need a technical report actually. just a plain one outlining the expenditures for the entire period till the gaming cafe is finally setup.

    but i believe the points you mentioned will help me making a well formed structure.

    i shall include all the expenses in a table format giving the approximate expenditure range and approx time required for each of the work(module as you called it)

    do i need to include anything else or just the expense table is enough ?

    expenses and time needed to finish each task? like, when will be all the computers delivered, when will the electricians do the their part of job and all? as well, you might even be purchasing games right? It can be more of an expense report I think

    well, as you correctly pointed out , the time slot is useless as truly giving those estimates is not in my hand.

    yes, ill be making the expense report kind of. This is actually to be presented to the investor so that he can take a look and finalise on the agreement between himself and my friend. honestly speaking, the investor is some kind of politician and just wants to invest his ____(you know what) money into something. He has put up loads of money into share market and is still looking for other schemes. He just wants to see the items and their expenditures before he can sign on the agreement. I was asked to prepare a "project report" for it (that what my friend said) and therefore asked it here as I did not have proper idea about making one😛

    thanks for giving inputs here. I will hopefully finish making one today.
    and as you mentioned, Ill be adding the expenses for games and other softwares too. Other softwares include copies of Win 7. For all other wares am going to put opensource freewares to save the expenditure. ;-)
