Moral Search Engines: Do we need them?

A number of new Internet search engines created by Christian, Jewish or Muslim entities aim to filter out queries from Web users in a way that is more relevant to those users and keeps them from temptation, alcohol and pornography.

If one types the world alcohol into #-Link-Snipped-#, the search engine produces results that explain the Muslim viewpoint on drinking.

Like wise, according to the Christian Search Engine website, the search engine functions by only indexing websites that are Biblically-based, theologically-sound, and in agreement with Christians' statement of faith.

Same is the Case with a Jewish Search Engine: #-Link-Snipped-#
If we ignore the stark resemblance of this website to Google, it's home page 'speaks' for itself. 😲

My Query is, do we really need such search engines?

I think information is uniform. Facts can never change in any part of the World.
Then don't you think such websites create divide? 😡

I want your word on this.

The usage of these sites are based on personal interest. Yes, they do affect people who can be influenced well, who do not have their own decisions. But its all right until these sites don't hurt anyone else's views and/or beliefs.

people who use these sites, already have pre-conceived views, so it doesn't make any difference on the way these sites affect them.

Not all people, durga. Sorry for the objection, but there are people who are not possessing that pre-conceived views, some times they do not have a good foundation for their views. Take the case of teenagers. These sites are mainly aimed at those people.

I have objection regarding creation of such search engines. Why tamper the facts? Why put your viewpoint in the information.
People use search engines to get true/real information Why give religious angle to it? It's ridiculous.

I do not encourage in creation of such search engines..Using of these search engines does not going to make any difference in the case of teenagers.Y do they give importance to religious view here?i dont understand..Such websites will create "divide" among us..
