Mission Mars500: 6 people to begin 520 day simulated journey to Mars

Finally, after conquering the moon; humans are all set to land on the Mars. A team comprising of a frenchman, a chinese and italian will join the three russians in Mission500. The team will be completely isolated in a simulated spaceship with about 19500 sq.ft. area for the next 520 days. The journey comprises 250 days trip to the Mars, 30 days revolving around the orbit around Mars and 240 days return trip. Three crew members will descend to the surface of the Mars while others will conduct a spacewalk in orbit. The mission involves actual simulation of actual trip to Mars. A team of researchers will actively monitor team's mental and physical health and the intense emotional phases the team will go through. During the trip, the team will have no communication with real people outside the spaceship. 19500 sq.ft.However they won't be cut-off from the planet. They will have email communication; except that it will be delayed by about 40 minutes; as the people will be millions of miles away from the planet. Unless there is life-threatening disease or a member undergoes complete mental breakdown; the team will not have a chance to come out of the simulated spaceship.
