After the launch of Android tablet, <a href="https://www.crazyengineers.com/threads/micromax-canvas-tab-p666-launched-at-rs-10-999-specs-at-a-glance.77496">Micromax Canvas Tab P666 Launched At Rs. 10,999; Specs At A Glance</a>, powered by Intel processor, Micromax has unveiled its new reasonably priced tablet called Canvas Tab P470 at Rs 6999 only. The notable feature of this dual sim (GSM+GSM) tablet is that it allows you to send text, mails, memos and what not as well as save contacts by selecting any Indian regional language of your choice from 21 different pre-loaded languages such as Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, Telugu, Tamil, Manipuri, Sanskrit, Punjabi, et al.

Heading to the technical specifications, the 17.78 cm (7 inch) TFT screen has a screen resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels with a colour depth of 262 k. Users can watch videos at a frame rate of 15 fps. Running on Android KitKat 4.4.2 operating system, Canvas Tab P470 is powered by 1.3 GHz Dual Core Processor. The storage includes RAM 1 GB, ROM 8 GB and the external memory can be expanded up to 32 GB. Internal phone memory includes 700 MB and 4.8 GB for apps and mass storage, respectively. It also supports voice-calling feature.

Speaking about the camera, the 5 MP fixed focus rear camera features the resolution of 1920 x 2560 pixels along with flash support while the 0.3 MP fixed focus front camera has 640 x 480 pixels resolution. The rear camera also has 720 p HD recording feature. Canvas Tab P470 is backed by a powerful 3200 mAh battery that provides standby time of up to 158 hours and about 11 hours of talktime.

Coming to the connectivity, the tablet includes Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-fi, 3G, HSPA, USB and GPS. Sensors such as G-sensor, Proximity, Light sensor, Hall sensor are also provided.

With average features, it’s hard to say whether Canvas Tab P470 will be able lead the competition in the range of sub 10 k tablets. Micromax is targeting the Indian budget market with this new release. An aggressive marketing campaign coupled with decent track record may help Micromax propel its sales.
