    How about building a power generator that suppiles power to a laptop? That's should be complicated enough. Maybe you could also try to make a steam powered heater or pump for water as well.

    Sounds cool! Pardon me for my ignorance, but is it something like: Steam engine powers generator which powers the laptop? How big such a system would be?

    I really don't have a clue. My guess would be it would have to depend on the amount of power drawn from the laptop. My best guess would put it at about the 3 to 4 ft square at most.
