LG V30 to sport 6-inch P-OLED FullVision Display with minimum bezels, confirms Company Report

LG’s upcoming flagship device, LG V30 is all set for a launch on August 31 in Berlin. According to a recent company statement, the switch to P-OLED in its upcoming flagship (highly rumored to be V30) is indicated, sporting a FullVision display which translates into really less bezel. The plastic OLED display features a 18:9 FullVision aspect ratio covering 109 percent of the DCI-P3 colour space with support for HDR10 as well.

The 6-inch phone from LG has been upgraded on the 4.15 million pixels of the QHD+ (1440 x 2880) OLED screen which will also come with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 shatter-resistant protection. The OLED FullVision display will be LG’s largest in four years while the actual body of LG V30 will be smaller than LG V20 launched the previous year. As the upper and lower bezels have been reduced by 20 and 50 percent when compared to the V20, the LG logo has been moved from the bottom of the display to the back of the phone to maximize viewable screen space for the current device.

The said device has been a part of lot of speculations and leaks in past and according to leaked reports online its secondary display is being ditched, in favor of a new 'floating bar' to provide quick access to notifications, shortcuts, and other such things. The camera on the LG V30 is likely to sport an f/1.6 aperture, a horizontal dual camera rear setup and Crystal Clear Glass Lens with an ‘improved transmittance’ feature.

The device is also said to incorporate enhanced audio experience, military standard protection, IP68 water resistance, Daydream support and a fingerprint sensor. LG V30 has further been tipped to be offered in 32 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB storage capacities. It is likely to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC housing a 3200 mAh battery.

As LG’s first OLED smartphone since the #-Link-Snipped-#in 2015, the shift with upcoming V30 marks a move by LG to extend its OLED leadership from the premium TV sector into the premium smartphone space.
