LG Google TV In US By May 21st - Is Living Room Audience Happy?

We last saw LG Google TVs during #-Link-Snipped-#. Most of the attendees were impressed by the motion-controlled QWERTY remote and LG's LED technology that provides the TV a slim profile and amazing brightness & clarity of video. Now the news has it that LG's #-Link-Snipped-# are coming to the United States around May 21. Ro Seogho, executive vice president of LG's TV business unit confirmed that production of Google TVs will start from May 17th in LG's Mexico-based factory. So, the first consumers will be from US and if everything goes well, followed by the ones in Europe and Asia.

Amazon is showing two versions of LG Google TVs already - Namely LG 47G2 and LG 55G2, which have 47" and 55" screens respectively. Both are listed as 3D, 1080p, 120 Hz LED-LCD HDTVs. Both the TVs will have six pairs of 3D glasses in the box. The pricing is given as $1699 for the 47-inch TV and $2299 for 55-inch one, which has been discounted by Amazon. Google has been struggling to make its mark in the TV industry by extending its most popular online video website, Youtube to television audience. We have to see whether it can become successful with the support from LG, which has a big rival in the name of #-Link-Snipped-# who is readying its own Google TV. We would like to know your verdict on it. Shoot in the comments.
