LG G4 Packs In Features & Specs To Shame Any Contemporary Flagship Android Offering
LG Electronics launched the much anticipated successor to its award-winning flagship Android smartphone, the LG G3 at not one but six simultaneous launch parties across the world. The LG G4 was unveiled before 1000 selected guests across the world and it shall also arrive soon into the hands of 4000 lucky people across the world free-of-charge as a part of the companyâs consumer experience campaign. Thanks to an LG G4 Specifications Revealed in Leaks ahead of the April 28 Release Date, we know almost everything that is to be known about the G4, but since its official now we shall take a look at the flagship smartphone in minute details this time. On first glance, you can immediately notice that the LG G4 is not flat. The South Korean company likes to call this a Slim Arc. The reason for opting for such a design was not just to ape the G Flex smartphone but to save its display in case of a fall from a height. LG has also ignored the norm of adding aluminium to the smartphone rear cover and instead opted for six different handcrafted leather back covers.
From a flagship smartphone we expect impeccable performance and LG did its part by roping in Qualcomm. The team at Qualcomm developed an entirely new chipset and debuted it on the LG G4. The #-Link-Snipped-# packs in Dual-core ARM Cortex A57 and quad-core A53 with 64-bit support, Adreno 418 GPU, 3GB of RAM and support of 4th gen power efficient LTE with Cat 9 speeds of up to 450 Mbps. The LG G3 had earned many accolades for its superior camera and with the LG G4 it tries to turn it up to eleven by throwing quirky software as well. The LG G4 has a massive 16MP rear sensor with a wide F1.8 aperture lens that lights up your low-light photos more than ever. While other optical image stabilisation aids correct your shaky hands in two axes for up to one degree, the LG G4 does it for a third axis as well for up to two degrees. Taking a cue from erstwhile Nokia, LG had added a manual mode for altering camera parameters and added the option of saving photos in RAW format. LG takes care of bland colour reproduction with Colour Spectrum Sensor (CSS). Selfie lovers will immediately fall in love with the LG G4âs 8MP front sensor.
We already knew that the LG G4 had a 5.5inch Quad HD resolution display, but did you know that LG has managed to combine the LCD and touch sensor into a single layer to provide better colour reproduction. While companies like Samsung draw flak from its customers for its gaudy TouchWiz, LG had managed to be popular with its UX that kept most elements from stock Android. This time LG has created the UX 4.0 that personalises notifications, improves gallery, unify schedules and expedite photo shoots. The LG G4 has an internal memory of 32GB and gives you a microSD card slot to expand the storage to your heartâs content. The LG G4 is powered by a user removable 3000mAh battery and it shall be sold from the beginning of this month in Metallic Gray, Ceramic White, Shiny Gold, Black, Brown, Red, Sky Blue, Beige and Yellow colour variants. LG is mum on the price but trust us, it will cost a fortune.
