Lenovo Vibe K5 Note: Octa-Core Processor, Fingerprint Sensor, 3500mAh Battery & Android Marshmallow

Lenovo has changed loyalties with its e-commerce partners Amazon India and tied up with Flipkart to launch its new smartphone, the Lenovo Vibe K5 Note in India. The Lenovo Vibe K5 Note will go on an open sale on Flipkart from August 3rd 11:59pm in Champagne Gold, Platinum Silver and Graphite Grey colour variants. The first one with 3GB of RAM can be yours for Rs. 11,999 and you will have to shell out Rs. 13,499 for a Lenovo Vibe K5 Note with 4GB of RAM. The Lenovo Vibe K5 Note like all other Lenovo smartphones with big screens supports its home grown TheaterMax technology that converts any content into a VR experience with the help of a compatible AntVR headset that shall be available on the same date at a discounted price of Rs. 500 instead of Rs.1299. You can also choose to buy a TheaterMax Controller to play with VR content for Rs. 500 instead of its regular price of Rs. 999.

The Lenovo Vibe K5 Note sports a 5.5inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution display that has a pixel density of 401ppi and supports viewing angles of 178 degrees. Surprisingly Lenovo has decided not to include a protective glass on the display. Underneath the hood we find a MediaTek MT6755 chipset that houses a 1.8GHz octa-core processor, Mali 860 MP2 GPU and 3 or 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM. The internal memory of the Lenovo Vibe K5 Note stands at 32GB and you get a microSD card slot that can be used to expand the storage to up to 128GB.

Lenovo Vibe K5 Note features Secure Zone that lets you run two instances of apps like WeChat and WhatsApp. The SmartScene feature lets you manage system settings like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, brightness, GPS and ringtones depending upon where you are and which time of the day it is. The fingerprint sensor is predicatively located on the rear, just underneath of camera lens and lets you unlock the smartphone is less than 0.3 seconds. As you might expect, the Lenovo Vibe K5 Note like every other Lenovo smartphone comes with Dolby Atmos. The Lenovo Vibe K5 Note has a 13MP PDAF with 5lens setup on the rear with LED flash and 8MP fixed focus sensor on the front.

The Lenovo Vibe K5 Note is powered by a 3500mAh battery that powers the smartphone for 364 hours on standby and 33 hours of talk time. The smartphone measures 152 x 75.7 x 8.49 mm and weighs 165 grams. Apart from cheaper Lenovo accessories launch offers also include Rs. 150 off on an Ola Prime ride and flat 25% off on a minimum purchase of Rs. 1399 on Myntra.
