Lenovo Ideapad A1000 Price In India Is Rs. 8999. Specs & Features Revealed

Lenovo Ideapad A1000 price in India is Rs. 8999, as listed on the 'Do Store'. We decided to have an overview of the specs and feature this tablet offers and see if the machine is worth the price. First things first - the Ideapad A1000 offers 8" display with 1024x600 pixels resolution. There's nothing particular about the display; but at the price Lenovo is offering it, we'd not expect more. Under the hood, the MediaTek MTK8317 dual core processor operating at 1.2GHz frequency takes care of the computing along with a 1GB onboard memory (RAM) chip. Lenovo offers 4GB of Internal storage which can be expanded to 32GB depending on your needs through a micro SD card.

On the front side of the tablet, there's a 0.3 MP camera. You'd typically need this camera during video conferencing on Skype; but do not expect good video quality from the front camera. There's no camera on the rear - so be informed if you're going to purchase this tablet. The good thing Lenovo has included for the music lovers is the dual-speaker system with Dolby Digital Plus support.

Other than that, Ideapad A1000 will let you make calls over the 2G network. However, for the 3G connectivity; you'll have to rely on an external dongle. The absence of inbuilt 3G surprised us. However, there's on advantage - you can tether your phone's connection via USB and that eliminates the need of buying a separate SIM card to use with this tablet. The A1000 has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB and the system is powered by a 3500 mAh battery. Lenovo promises that it will last for about 8 hours if you use it over Wi-Fi.

The tablet is available in black color (no white option as yet) and is expected to compete with other Android tablets in the sub 10,000 price bracket. The tablet will compete with offerings from HCL, Micromax, Reliance tablets.

The DoStore is offering the tablet with free-shipping in all the cities in India and you may expect the tablet to take about 7-8 business days to reach your home, if you're in metro cities. Else; the expected delivery time is 15-21 days; which we believe is 'too much'!

A bad specification from Lenova for 9k.So many campanies had produced the best tablets .the front camers definitely disappoints the users.Absence of rear camera is the worst thing I had noticed.Hcl,Micromax is far better than lenova in this tablet competition.

Some college students prefer it other than that I am not sure any others will go for sub 10000 budget smart phones

These phones compromise in quality big time
