The Chinese multinational company - Lenovo has been under the spotlight ever since they bought Motorola from Google for $2.91 billion. Lenovo already has a line-up of A, K, S, and P series devices along with the flagship Vibe series. The latest addition to the entry level A-series smartphones is with Lenovo A526 made available for a price tag of Rs. 9,499 in India. The smartphone market has a lot of similar phones in this range from home companies like Micromax, Karbonn, Xolo, Lava, etc. The specifications of the phones will help decide whether the latest entrant offers any value for money or not.

The A526 comes with a 4.5” FWVGA capacitive touchscreen screen with a resolution of 854*480 pixels. It is powered by a quad-core Mediatek MT6582M processor clocked at 1.3GHz and 1 GB of RAM. The internal memory provided is 4GB and is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card slot. The smartphone features 5MP fixed focus rear camera, which is disappointing as the devices in the similar range offer auto focus cameras. Also, a 0.3MP front camera is also on board which is also fixed focus. The device runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and the company hasn’t mentioned anything about upgrading the device.

Camera is a disappointment in this smartphone....C'mon 5MP fixed focus?? this is not Nokia X2, everyone expects auto focusing . Pricing is good (under 10k).
