‘KINDLE TOUCH’ The New e-Reader By Amazon INC

With the everlasting digital world the usual reading of hardbound and paperback books has been replaced by Tablets and e-readers. The wide screened bright coloured readers are the new trends of reading.

One such fascinating and interesting reader from Amazon.com INC is the KINDLE TOUCH (KT) with just two buttons one named ‘home’ and the other ‘power’. Unlike the older readers where buttons were in excess for turning pages and searching words, the KT provides a highly user friendly interface. Using it is just like using your Smartphone for doing all the work of reading with functionality like swipe, tap, virtual key board etc.

Such a concept of touch screen reader is not at all new to the market. KT faces tough competition from its counterparts like Barnes & Noble and Kobo touch. All these presents a 6 inch bright display and uses e ink technology which facilitates faster turning of pages and displays text more sharply. Each one connects to the web stores which provide a variety of e books to the user.

The one good thing that makes KT different from others like Kobo touch or the Nook is its 3G connectivity option. In the absence of any Wi-Fi hotspot this option can turn out to be life saviour.

The price game plays a very crucial role. KT is available in two varieties, one that support ads and the other that is add free. Ads will be constantly displayed at the bottom and will take up the whole screen when powered off. At times this can be quite annoying. If you don’t want to get annoyed then an extra amount of $40 needs to be paid to the original sum. Similarly is the case with 3G variant. Additional charges of $50 for 3G and $40 for ad free.

So if you like to have a great gadget and like to spend a lot of money then Kindle Touch without ads and with 3G is the best option, else you always have the Nook Simple Touch.
