I see a lot of people get confused between Its and It's. I figured out an easy way to remember the correct usage and here it is -

Its: Of It OR Belonging To It
It's: It is or It has

How to remember?

It's is written as I T ' s.

Imagine the red ' head of the missing i .

So- IT(i)s.

    I frequently make this mistake, not because I am confused, but when in flow, I always write "it's" automatically.

    But this should help many of us for sure..😀

    We write -
    ABC has a pen. ABC's pen is blue.
    But, when we refer to something as "It", there's where the confusion begins.
    This is a knife. (Its) or (It's) blade is sharp.
    What is the correct one here? 😁

    Its blade is sharp. The another option will make it, It is blade is sharp.
