Is there any scope for2015 batch ec graduate (aggregate=57.8%) in the IT 2016??

I am EC graduate with 57.8%.after completing the final semester exam i have prepared for GATE 2016 exam but failed even to clear the exam.Later i decided to join IT as software developer.
I have successfully completed course on c++ and Java and applied for jobs via naukri and fresher world , i havent got a single interview call,all i get is opportunities in bpo and tech support.is this the only final hope left for me...
