The post PC era that we're living in is quite exciting. Every day we get a heavy dose of electronics and gadgets that make sure all your needs are fulfilled in terms of hardware and software. iPhone 5, Galaxy SIII, Galaxy Note II - have all been making news on the Internet and it seems that what was darling of the tech-blogging media until a few days ago is now making its presence felt. Yes, we're talking about the rumored iPad-Mini; the 7" tablet that Apple is expected to release in the next few days or weeks.

The iPad Mini rumor got kicked away from our memories because of the fanfare around the launch of iPhone 5 and its failed maps application. But if the information leakers are to be believed, we're just a few days away from getting the iPad mini in our hands. The Japanese website, macotakara.jp has released few realish looking photos of the new iPad with smaller screen. It looks exactly in sync with all the leaked images we've seen so far on the Internet. Take a look -

We've tried zooming in on the photograph (which isn't very high resolution, unfortunately) to read the device information but we couldn't. But the following video will give you enough information you want about the iPad mini. What we notice in the video is the presence of the new lightening port (Apple says it's completely digital) at the bottom. The headphone jack continues to be on the top, as against at the bottom in iPhone 5. The screen size is said to be 7.85" . No other details are available, but we can confidently say that it will run iOS 6 or higher version of the operating system.

We've a solid reason to believe that the rumors are true - because the first ones came from AllThingsD - which has traditionally been correct about predicting Apple's forthcoming launches. We expect the device to launch towards the end of October or early November. We're hoping that Apple will announce a special event for the unveiling very soon.

We wish to ask our readers about their opinion on the 7" iPad Mini. Do you think 7" screen size is better than the regular 9"? Do you think the mini will capture the market currently dominated by Samsung with their Android tablets?
