Intex Fitrist Cardio with heart rate sensor costs Rs.1,499 and offers serious competition to Mi Band

Intex Technologies, the company famous for launching a new smartphone every few weeks has launched a new fitness wearable that not only superior to its predecessor in every aspect but offers some serious competition to the reigning market leader Xiaomi Mi Band 2. The Intex Fitrist Cardio was launched today and has gone up for sale on Amazon India at a price of just Rs. 1499. The Intex Fitrist Cardio as the name suggests comes with a heart rate sensor that can keep a track of your heart rate whenever you workout. The Mi Band 2 also does the same but it costs five hundred rupees more than the Intex Fitrist Cardio.


The Intex Fitrist Cardio surpasses the Mi Band 2 in its features by offering a much bigger 2.18cm OLED display instead of the 1.06cm display found on the latter. The Intex Fitrist Cardio monitors the number of steps you take and shows you how much calories you have burnt while taking those steps. The Intex Fitrist Cardio is able to keep track of the distance you have covered and it also knows when you are running. The Intex Fitrist Cardio can also monitor your sleep just like the Mi Band 2. The Intex Fitrist Cardio is able to remind you to drink water at certain intervals depending on your physical activities. Unlike the Mi Band 2, the Intex Fitrist Cardio can be used to control music that is being played on your smartphone and also shoot photos using remote shutter. The Intex Fitrist Cardio can also be used to trigger a silent vibration alarm to wake you up in the morning.


The Intex Fitrist Cardio also notifies you when you receive a call, a text message, a WhatsApp message or a Messenger message. One of the features that makes the Intex Fitrist Cardio stand apart from the competition with its Anti-Lost function where the smartphone will beep if the smartband moves out of range. You can use the smartphone to locate the band too. The Intex Fitrist Cardio operates on Flip to Wake gesture where you can just lift your wrist to view the time and twist to check your stats.


The Intex Fitrist Cardio however fails to go head to head with the Mi Band 2 when it comes to battery life. While the Mi Band 2 which is powered by a 70mAh battery can last for at least 20 days the Intex Fitrist Cardio which is powered by a bigger 80mAh battery fails to last for more than a week. This puts the Intex Fitrist Cardio at par with the #-Link-Snipped-# when it comes to battery life but it is far behind the #-Link-Snipped-#. The Intex Fitrist Cardio is water resistant and it can hold your tracking information within itself for 3 days before it is synced with a Android smartphone running Android 4.4 or above or an iOS device running iOS 7.0 or above.


The Intex Fitrist Cardio may not be as polished as a #-Link-Snipped-# but it does the same job at a fraction of the cost. It is even cheaper than the best selling budget fitness tracker in the market, the Mi Band 2. If you are in the lookout for a fitness tracker in a budget then it’s no harm in trying this one out.
