Indeed. We normally start a new section when there are enough threads [12-15 to being with] related to that subject/topic/discipline.

I look forward to having your friends on CE. It's going to be great value addition to CE and them too. 😀

heard that behind most of the modern projects ( aerospace research etc) are instrumentation engineers . but we are not getting enough recognition. in my state (kerala) only 2-3 collages offers instrumentation and control engg. 😔
why so???

It should work. There will be harmonics and probably loss of accuracy. Simpler low cost inverters do give square wave output. There is no reason why an LVDT cannot handle square wave input. However, there could be heating effects, harmonics and loss of performance.
