Indian IT firm to copy mammalian brain on computer

PIT Solution, a Kerala-based start-up, and Brain Mind Institute of Swiss Federal Institute, will be working on the Blue Brain Project - a $3 billion initiative,which is the world's first comprehensive attempt to reserve-engineer the mammalian brain. The Kerala firm will attempt to build a computerised copy of mammalian brain using one of the world's most powerful computers. The project would be monitored by a UN body for ethical treatment of animals, amd is expected to be completed by 2018.
