CEans,

I bet a good number of crazy engineers must be planning to take Common Admission Test in 2008. The test will (probably) be held in November 2008. So, how about forming a group of engineers who are all set to crack the CAT 2008?

Discuss, share, set your strategy for CAT 2008 in this thread 😁 !

You can't join in 2008 by any means through CAT 2008. Results will be out in January 2009 and calls, GD/PI sessions will follow next.
As for the joinings of IIMs, dates are in June-July.

    My advice would be -

    1. Read. Read. Read on wide range of topics! That really helps in GDs especially.

    2. Practise mock interviews. There are many coaching institutes that offer training on GD/PI. Joining a reputed institute in your area will be of great help to you.

I have just planned to do it, but missed it, hope to do it next year, however, if I could get some updates/references, that will be helpful to me.

Guys, Is there anyone has CAT past papers for last 5 years. I am sure, we can guess future questions based on the past papers 😀

We can not guess we should not guess..

Most certain thing about CAT is this is very uncertain paper.

More then looking for last year papers try to concentrate on the preprations and Mock tests.

    Yes.

CAT has slowly and steadily move away from the pattern followed 5 years ago.
It's taking a more GMAT like format. Questions will be based more on algebra than in pure numbers. i mean to say, variable based questions are to be expected more.
And as Crazyboy said, mock tests are the way to go.

We dont say "Do not prepare past papers." I just say that dont put too much weight on past papers and dont expect anything from those papers..
    All the best.

Buddy, beleive me Mock papers is the way to enahnce your speed. I saw the guyz who had solved almost 300 mock papers and they were right on the top in the final CAT Result list.

Specially there are fair enough chances, that if you solve around 200-300 mock tests you will see at least 30-40 question in actual CAT.
