Have you thought of any ideas on your own? Because working on crazy, futuristic CS ideas would need multiple skills and mastery over a few. You haven't told us what technologies, tools you are comfortable with and if you've any prior experience of working on projects.
Any new ideas will have to build upon existing ones or innovation in any CS domain. A bit more about your current knowledge and ideas considered would help us make better suggestions to you.
Also let us know why you rejected any specific idea so far.

Outside my ken.
AI robots have been designed. It takes time for each to learn by doing things. If we can consider a swarm of AI robots all linked in real time with a massive AI super computer and each member robot doing things and learning in individual varied activities, then the central computer may develop very high level of intelligence quite quickly.
It may start a technical ‘university’ and make sub groups of the swarm for specialisation!

Frankly speaking, the CS domain is very vast; because the next generation technologies will all rely on computers. There's IoT, that's going to make it big in the coming decade and there are advancements in Cloud Computing.
A lot is being done on AI. One such idea that combines most of the things is an 'Emotion Based' music player, combined with the existing personal assistants from Google (Google Home) and Alexa (by Amazon) or Siri (by Apple).
Say I'm running, can there be an app in my phone that automatically starts playing high tempo songs? Or can the app read my state of nervousness and offer to play joyful songs?
However all such ideas will need deep knowledge of CS and definitely not a student project idea -unless someone is really skilled at programming and understands various tools involved.

Hi, thank you for your response. I have thought to build a translation app which allows languages to be translated from speech to speech, speech to text and text to text. I am looking to develop this in android studio as a mobile application as that is my strongest skill.
I have previously made websites so have knowledge surrounding HTML, MySql, CSS and some PHP. I hope this helps as I want to make something different.
Thank you
